Without doubt, children in the mid-nineteenth century matured much faster than children and teens today. This handout provides insight in the lives and contributions of only 7 such children in the Civil War. Together with the poster the SUVCW has provided on the same topic (see the post directly below this one), teachers can easily contrast the way of life for teens then and now.
